I previously used the CY7C1339G SRAM on my board, but this part is now obsolete. I'm looking for a drop in replacement and CY7C1347G seems to be the closest match other than the DQP signals.

Hi Sam,

If you do not want to use the parity pin you can connect it to either GND or VCC. If you leave it unconnected it can lead to more power dissipation.

We also have a KBA on this. Kindly go through it once.

Using Parity SRAMs in Non Parity Applications

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Pradipta,

Thanks for the info. Do you know roughly how much extra power will be used if all four DQP signals are left unconnected?

Thanks,

Sam

Hi Sam,

If you are using the TQFP package and leave the DQP pins floating, the extra power consumption is negligible.

Thanks,

Pradipta.
