How to install CYUSB236 DVK software

I can't install CYUSB236 DVK software in my PC.

When I try to install, CyInstaller is said , "Microsoft VC ++ 2008 Redistributable is not install".

However, various versions of Redistributable package (including Ver. 2008) have already installed on the PC.

Why can't I install?

Is there anything else I should do?

-Please click on "Recheck Prerequisites" and check if the error still occurs.

-What is the version of Microsoft VC++ 2008 Redistributable that you already have installed? Please try installing the required version from this link and let us know if the error still occurs.

Thank you for your reply.

I clicked on "Recheck Prerequisites" many times,

but the same Wizard will be displayed again.

The version of MS VC++ 2008 redistributable is "9.0.30729".

It is correct version on you indicated link.

However, I have another question.

The OS of my PC is Windows10.

But, support OS of VC++ 2008 (ver. 9.0) is up to Win7...

Does CYUSB236 DVK software support Win10?

Yes, the DVK software does support Win 10 as well. If you are still getting an error, please try this tool from Microsoft.

Hello Matsubara-san,

No, the tool itself should fix the error. Please try installing the USB-Serial SDK which has all the latest drivers, library and applications for the CY7C65215 part present in the CYUSB236 DVK and see if you face an issue there too. You can also try the direct link  that is posted above for the correct version of Microsoft VC++ 2008 Redistributable.

I installed the file again.

But, the error is still occurred.(same error)

The latest version of Microsoft VC++ 2008 Redistributable is not support Win10,

so I think it is root cause about that.

I try it on an another PC.

(I gave up on installing this PC.)
