When I use EZ-USB FX3 application with Windows10, the error shown below occur and I can't install the driver to Windows10.
The error is "The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering."
I use this driver for windows10 and add VID/PID pairs for my application.

Can you please help me, are there any experiences?

Hi John/Kodai-san,
What I mean by "compatible till RS3" is:
- The driver posted by me in this thread should work for Windows version 1709 and also before that.
- This is the latest version of the driver (The version 1.2.3.14 is an older one)
I have attached the pictures after I install the driver in my PC. Please look at the same. I have also attached version info of my PC.
If the driver shared by me is not getting installed, please do the following:
- Make complete uninstallation till the device has not drivers available.
- Then the device appears as "westbridge" (see installation.png) - Here I have assumed that you connect the device as Bootloader device.
- Now manually install the driver by pointing to the inf file.
Let me know if any issues.

Hemanth

Hello Hemanth -
Your post to Kodai/takata_3070581 says: "driver which is compatible till RS3". Does RS3 mean "Windows 10, version 1709, RedStone3"?????? I am confused about the word used: "till". Is this driver good for Windows 10 BEFORE RedStone3, or good for Windows 10 AFTER RedStone3 ????
Are there known problems with the CyUSB3.sys on this operating system platform? I posted this question but have gotten no replies.
I also noticed that the current Cypress release of this driver is 1.2.3.14. Yours is 1.2.3.20. I will try this driver and see if it fixes my problems.

Hi John,
Thank you for your additional explaination to my question.
Hi Hemanth,
When I installed above driver to Windows10 ver.1607, I could install the driver and communicate with EZ-USB FX3 application.
When I installed above driver to Windows10 ver.1703(RS3), I couldn't install the driver (error code 48).
Do you have a new driver which is compatible with Win10 ver.1703(RS3)?

Hi Hemanth,
thank you for your reply.
Let me give it a try.
You said it before "The driver posted by me in this thread should work for Windows version 1709 and also before that."
But my computer's win10 system is 10.0.17134.112 ,which is the latest. Does that matter?
Looking forward your reply.

Hello Zhan,
Your version indicates windows 10 RS4. Though the one I shared is not built for RS4, you can install it and check the same. Let us know if there are any issues.

Hi,
I used cyusb3 driver ver 123.14 with my windows 10 and everything worked fine (Cypress FX3 USB BulkloopExample Device).
After Windows 10 update to 10.0.17134 the driver does not work any more. I have downloaded cyusb driver ver.1.2.3.20 but it can not be installed as Windows says "...sotware has been blocked … because it is known to have problems with windows". I can not make my device work any more.
Did you solve the problem for your device ?

Hi,
Can you tell me your version of Windows 10.Mine is 10.0.17134 and with this version Cypress driver can not be installed. The previous version of Windows worked with cyusb3 driver ver 123.14 without any problems. After Windows update all of a sudden it stopped working and when reinsalling the Cyusb3 WIndows gives the error message: "software has been blocked … because it is known to have problems with windows" . I then downloaded the 1.2.3.20 version but did not help - the same error message (and exclamation mark in the device menager)

Hi,
I am using EZ-USB FX2LP CY7C68013A.
We used it for years with the old unsigned driver successfuly for some
years. Then some two/three years ago we changed to cyusb3 driver
ver.1.2.3.14 which worked fine with Windows 10 till the last update of
Windows and now we have this error message. I saw people claiming that
they get the same error message so I am not alone at least.

Hello Wlodek/Kodai-san,
As you noticed the post from zhan that there is no problem with cyusb3 version 1.2.3.20 (And zhan tested it in windows version 10.0.17134.112)
So, we should find what's happening in your case.
Kindly share setupapi.dev.log file immediately after you install 1.2.3.20 version of cyusb3 driver on your machine with windows version 10.0.17134.112
That file will be available in the path: C:\Windows\INF

Hi Hemanth,
I have found the same type of laptop computer with Windows 10 ver.
1.0.16299. (this is Window10 PRO while previous tests were done on
Windows Home). With this new computer (not updated) I installed the
Cyusb3 driver (both ver 1.2.3.14 and 1.2.3.20) and everything worked
fine. The device was correctly discovered (BulkLoopExample device).
Attached find two log files that were generated on the Windows 10 ver.
1.0.16299:
1) setupapi_Win10_0_16299_Cyusb3_1_2_3_14.dev.log - log file after
cyusb3 ver 1.2.3.14 installed
2) setupapi_Win10_0_16299_Cyusb3_1_2_3_20.dev.log - log file after
cyusb3 ver 1.2.3.20 installed
then I did Windows update from 10.0.16299 to 10.0.177134 (this took a
good while!)
After Windows update I connected my device to the computer and could see
the exclamation mark in the device menager.
This is represented by:
3) setupapi_Win10_0_17134_AfterWindowsUpdate.dev.log
The I just reinstalled cyusb3 in both versions (1.2.3.14 and 1.2.3.20)
and both resulted in the same error.
4) setupapi_Win10_0_17134_Cyusb3_1_2_3_14.dev.log - log file after
cyusb3 ver 1.2.3.14 installed
5)setupapi_Win10_0_17134_Cyusb3_1_2_3_20Reinstalled.dev.log - log file
after cyusb3 ver 1.2.3.20 installed
After Windows update to 10.0.17134 I can not install cyusb3 any more -
exactly as I described it last week (with my Windows 10 Home).
Hope this can help to find the problem.

Hi,
Have you found any hints in log files that could explain why drivers are not loaded in the most recent version of Windoes 10?

Hi Wlodek,
Yes, we have seen that the error code reported is 0xC000000D
This can happen when you are trying to bind to a modified driver package.
Can you please share the inf file that you used to bind when the issue occurred?

Hi Hemanth ,
It is a kind of magic for me.
Today after your email, I decided to try once more.
I connected my device to Win10 (most recent) notebook. I uninstalled the
the driver (as it had exclamation mark). Then I installed the cyusb3
again and "Bingo ! " - the driver has been installed corectly.
I copied the driver to my pendrive and went to the other computer (the
same brand, the same Windows 10 version). On this other computer I
uninstalled the usb3 diver and installed it again from the pendrive. It
did not work and I got error message from Windows.
Then I took this pendrive and went back to my first notebook to recheck.
Again deinstalled the cyusb3 and reinstalled from the pendrive - it was
working fine.
I went back to my other notbook again with the pendrive reinstalled the
driver and it is working now ! (magic?).
I am attaching the log file from my other computer (first reinstallation
fails, second reinstallation works).
The instalation failure is from hh:min 14:45.
The installation succeded at hh:min 15:02
Both from the same installation media!.
I am a little bit confused but happy it is working again!.
I am sure I was doing the same last week and it did not work.
The error 0xC00000D that you pointed to, could be somwhere in one of my
last logs because in despair I tried various driver configurations but I
think that I would get an "unsigned driver" info from Windows if I used
modified inf file .
Thanks for your help and see attached log file.

Hi Hemanth-san,
I tried to install your driver to Windows10 ver.1703 and I could activate them.
I had forgot to use Cypress signed VID/PID pairs.
I appreciate your help and I'm sorry for replying so late.
Best Regards,
Kodai
