Today April-30 2018 I removed all Cypress software from my system because Psoc creator 4.2 could not detect a debug target on CY8CKIT-049-42xx

After cleaning up I reinstalled PSOC creator 4.2 I still do get the same result.

I have PSoC creator 4.2 (4.2.0.641)

OS Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 SP1

Installer CyInstaller product

CY8CKIT-049-42xx

First time i encounter problems with PSOC creator ;-(

Need solution quickly...

(added tiny test project)

Oops,

Feel pretty stupid.

Been a while ago and I just plugged in the Kit 49 into the USB as I used in my applications.

Always used it with miniprog3 to program it.

Sorry.

The CY8CKIT-049-42xx has got no debug capabilities. You would need a Kitprog or a Miniprog3 to debug the chip on your kit. Cheapest solution for you would be to buy a Prototype Kit ie. CY8CKIT-043.

Hello Bob,

When I set the IDE to Release it still does not find a target.

Up till Creator 4.1 I have been using this kit for many projects……

pastedImage_0.pngYou need this component in your program for the boot loader to work.  I have heard that they where going to remove this kit because of the issues with debug and programming.  I would use a new kit it will be easier.
