Hello,

For the development of a new design, we are interested in the CY8C6136BZI reference.

I understood that PSoC61 are not available yet, and PSoC62 should be use instead. Is the reference CY8C6246BZI truly pin-pin compatible with CY8C6136BZI ? Could they been used on a same board ?

My design also embeds 3.3V and 1.8V peripherals. Is it possible to supply different banks of PSoC6 GPIOs with different voltages, to avoid external level translators ?

Thanks,

Hello hvanreeth_2854706,

Yes the packages in both CY8C61 and CY8C62 are pin compatible.

Yes, you can use different supplies to power different IO banks as long as the supply is within the device operating voltage range (1.7 to 3.6 V). Please refer to the datasheet or TRM for details on which VDD rail powers which IO ports.

Hello Msur,

Thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately there is no information of availability and pricing for PSoC62 devices on Cypress website. Do you know when these chips will be released (especially CY8C6247BZI-D34) ?

Hugo
