Hello,

I'd like to use STMicro M24M02 as the FX3 boot I2C EEPROM.

The application note(AN76405) describes the design when using multiple 128KB EEPROMs, but how about in the case of 256KB?

Hi,

You are right! I missed this E2 pin when I first checked the datasheet.

It seems it will work fine with 2 EEPROMs. There will not be an issue.

Hi,

In case of 256 KB, two EEPROMs are supported. Please refer the EEPROM's datasheet on how the addressing lines should be connected.

However, for the M24M02 EEPROM, I do not see any external address select lines in the datasheet. So using two such EEPROMs may not be possible for this particular part.

Please use a different EEPROM that supports external addressing. (For example, A0, A1, etc. pins)

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

The M24M02 has E2 pin which functions as bit3 of the device address.

So this EEPROM has 8 device addresses from 0x50 to 0x57(7bit), but it has only one external pin.

Can this device connect to FX3S?
