Hello,
The USB-Serial Configuration Utility allows to select Baud rate of up to 3000 kbps in UART mode, but the maximum communication rate of the USB serial port that can be selected on the Windows Device Manager is 128 kbps.
This meaning supports 3Mbps as the communication specification on the SCB side of CY7C65211, but can the USB side (COM port driver) support up to 128 kbps only?
Regards,
Naoaki Morimoto

Hello Naoaki Morimoto-san,
The USB Serial Port (COM xx) dialog box which sets the value of 'Bits per second' will be overridden whenever any application uses the COM port. The baud rate that is set in the application will only prevail.
In case of CY7C65211, the maximum data rate that is supported is 3Mbps.
Best regards,
Srinath S

Hello Naoaki Morimoto,
Can you please let me know if you are using any of the terminal emulators like tera-term or HTerm to implement the COM port on the host? in that case, it is the terminal emulator's incapability to handle the higher baud rate.
In case you happened to use tera-term, the baud rate can be set to 3000kbps and it works fine.
Best regards,
Srinath S

Hello Srinath S san,
I confirmed with the CYUSB234 kit.
In Windows7 Device Manager, the USB-Serial Port is the maximum value that can be set to 128000 bps, and 921600bps is the maximum value in the Tera Term. (see attached pdf file)
Is there anything else to check?
Best Regards,
