Hello,

I modified CY4532 kit so that 24V DC can be input and then I re-programmed the configuration table with EZ-PD config utility to add 20V@3A PDO.

I confirmed to supply 20V to macbook.

South chip DCDC: SC8701 is installed in power board in CY4532, but I can't find the detailed spec for this DCDC. This DCDC is for USB PD, so I think it has up to 5A current capability as the device (not CY4532 kit). Is it correct?

Regards,

Hiroki

You can use SC8701 in application where you need to draw 5A. The current capacity will depend on the external FET which actually provides the power.

SC8701 has Integrated 10V , 2A Gate Driver to control the FETs.

Hi nisa-san,

I found the "5A (Max)" description on VBUS line in main board schematic.

And the external FETs have a capability of over 5A.

Thanks and best regards,
