Pure zip or tar ball file for download is better if there are multiple developers working with source code management tools.

I agree with Axel, it's more easy to just download the SDK (ZIP file )

There are many uses cases require sdk without IDE.
For example:
1. we have automatically build system to triger build by script.
Nobody will use the IDE for the build system. The build server even does not have a screen.
2. For those having issues using the installer, they should be able to install sdk without installer.
3. There are indeed some request for just want the sdk without IDE
(You can easily find such discussion on the forum, but cypress seems just ignore the requests.)
4. I really hate all the source code files becomes executable files after install the installer on Linux.
(The raw file does not has such problem)
It's fine cypress to provide single installer, but Cypress should be able to also provide sdk without IDE which is supposed to be pretty simple.
