Hello,


Can someone clarify the figures on Page 15 of the BCM20736S TRM. 

In Table 5, Current Consumption, what is the supply voltage?  The peak power values below don't seem to correspond.   

The paragraph above mentions a 3V DC-DC converter, which seems a bit random.  What is the recommended supply voltage?  What would the peak power values be if the supply voltage is 3.3V? 

P.S I'm looking at the September 11, 2014 version of the manual.

Hello Lewis,

We are working on a more comprehensive method to measure peak power values

1.  This datasheet is somewhat incorrect - Supply voltage in datasheet is correct but the use of a DC/DC on a 36S is not correct.

2.  With respect to the DC/DC converter, we designed our boards with 3.3V supply to the DC/DC.

3.  The peak power values represent a 3.3V DC/DC converter on our sister part (BCM20736) which does bring out the pins for a DC/DC Converter

4.  We do have a new device coming out in a module that allows a DC/DC converter in a module (BCM20736x) - probably 2nd quarter

Note that the power numbers in the SIP module datasheets are based on the SoC.
