        Incredible but true. I compiled a project that i do before with creator 2.2 and now 3.0 Result before rom 53kbytes ram 4kbytes , now with 3.0 142 Kbytes Rom, 23Kbytes RAm, without touch nothing. It's a joker, a shame and orrible things. It's best do less you tube , and do a proper check before release some thing in pompa magna. Regards giovanni

        Version 3.3 calculates Ram usage correctly and includes heap and stack in the result.
Creator 2.2 did NOT include those memory areas in its usage-counting.

From the release notes -

New RAM Usage Calculation ;

Prior to the 3.0 release, the reporting of SRAM usage at the end of a build with the GNU Compiler Toolchain did not correctly report the stack and heap settings in the System DWR file. This has been corrected and PSoC Creator is now properly reporting the RAM usage (note that the actual RAM usage has not changed, just the reporting in the Output Window). You can modify the Stack and Heap Size values in the System DWR.

Its a good idea to read at least these when you upgrade. Just a thought.

Regards, Dana.

        I'd like to draw attention to the fact that the "Emulated EEProm" module is still rev. 1.0 which implies that the 2 errors Kenny discovered and describet to Cypress are not corrected yet. So: take care when using that module.

Are you using the new default Newlib-nano libraries or did you change them back to the Newlib libraries?  The traditional GCC Newlib libraries did get bigger with the 4.7 release which is why we by default enabled the new Newlib-nano libraries which were developed specifically for microcontrollers.  Read a bit more at Joey Ye's Blog on the ARM GCC 4.7 compiler & libraries http://bit.ly/UNjWTV.

If your  using the Newlib-nano libraries, you should be seeing dramatic reductions in flash and we'll need a few more specifics to figure out the issue.

I'm attaching a Newlib-nano Readme document by Ben Cheng at ARM.  If you can't share your project this may help you understand the different libraries and if there is something project specific that

Thanks,

Robyn

After some while, looking if some others people have the same issue, i come back.I use the default new -nano libs, and the result is a code 3 time larger than before with 2.2.

I'ts normal ?, I don't think.

I read the info about nano, but for understand what said, need a complete courses about ARM gcc.

Instead to  simplify the life, it's make more complicate.

Some help ?.

Best regards
