The CY8CKIT-049-42xx kit was working before. Recently, it is not getting recognized by my Win7 PC. Attached screen shots show what is happening after the board is inserted. I can program the board using MiniProg3, but I want to use USB Serial port. Please help.

Welcome in the forum!

NoPort.PNG: The CY8CKIT-049-42xx was never designed for debugging, that has never worked before.

I would suggest you to remove the Kit and de-install com ports in the device manager,

After pc reboot plug in your -049ner and wait a few miutes to give it a chance to update from internet.

Start Creator and under "Tools" select the "Bootloader Host". there should now your Kit's comport be listed.

How do I uninstall Com Ports in Device Manager? As you see in Device Manager.PNG, there is no com port listed. Even 'Show hidden device' does not show any com port. Should I try USBDeview?

Remove your virtual serial port device. USBDeview is not a bad idea, but care for your mouse 😉

After uninstalling related drivers, I restarted my PC. After inserting the board, two driver is installed (see image).

But no com port in Bootloader Host (see image).

Then I tried to install Virtual Serial Port Device 00. But no driver found.

So, no COM PORT.

I have restore my PC to 2 days back, which removes PSoC Creator 3.3 installation also. But even after that it is the same issue - " Virtual Serial Port Device 00 - no driver found". Is there problem with the board or windows 7?
