EZ-USB FX3 CYUSB3KIT-001 not recognized by windows 7 and 8

 hello everyone,

   

i just bought an EZ-USB FX3 CYUSB3KIT-001 and tried to connect it to my pc; i am using a 64bit windows 8 and a 32bit windows 7.

   

the windows just dont seem to recognize it.

   

i did not install the driver yet ( i followed the instruction delivered with the kit but failed to install it properly ).

   

i am having this error message : USB Device not recognized, in 2 different PCs.

   

any ideas?

Does your device show up in device manager with VID/PID 0x0000/0x0000?

Hello Gayathri,

       

No the device shows up as an unknown device in the device manager.
When i verify the VID and PID i have this message : USB/UNKNOWN.

You can check for the hardware ids by: right click on device -> Properties -> Details tab -> Hardware IDs.

if it still fails, then try another cable or try with a USB2.0 cable.

or may be the PMODE switches and jumpers are configured to a boot mode which won't show up anything. Get the documentation of the DVK board, I think there is a getting started documentation and then setup the PMODE to

   

I2C, on fail USB

   

or

   

SPI, on fail USB

   

or

   

USB
