I get an error while trying to route the output of the IDAC to port 4 pins. It says "no valid path found"

But the GPIO specification sheet states that the IDAC is connected to the analog bus which may be routed to any port except port 3. Why then is there a difficulty with port 4.

Please help.

Thanks

Have a look into this document for port 4 limitations, this will explain exactly what you want to know.

Thanks for the reply. But even in the attached document it shows that port-4 is connected to the analog bus. And since the DACs are connected to the analog bus as well, what's the reason for DAC output not being to able to connect to port 4?

Primary limitation is port 4 is not routed out thru DSI, the IDACs in the

This is so abstruse!

The app note posted in the first reply says that port-4 is connected to the analog bus and so are the IDACs. Where does the DSI come into the picture? And even if it does, what's the use of a port being connected to a BUS when it cannot communicate with other devices on that very BUS?

And also, doesn't the DSI have to do with the digital periferals only? How/Why is it related to the analog periferals for routing analog signals?

If you look at legend lower left and PORT 4 correspondence

you can see the routing capability -

The app note is less than clear, sorry. The IDACs are connected to the bus and to CMOD on P4.x only for doing capsense. When executing capsense functions, these switches are under control of the digital logic, i.e., DSI.

 Thanks everyone!

So it appears there's a slightly loose usage of language in the GPIO specification sheet.

Anyway, this solves the problem.

Thanks again!
