Hello all,
Can the PSOC 3 perform RMS to DC conversion? I want to measure the amplitude of a 50khz sine wave so I want to take the sine wave into a pin on the psoc, then into an RMS to DC converter, then finally an A/D.
Can the Psoc3 do this?
Thanks in advance.
Jim

If the signal is periodic, therefore can be expressed for algorithim use, yes.
And of course sampled at frequency of interest to get the values.
Otherwise other approaches have to be taken, like RMS heating method,
where signal provides energy to a thermal mass and temp rise is measured.
Fopr periodic, attached is a PSOC 1 approach to a FW rectifier, core of RMS
determination, and subsequent post attachement some algorithims of interest.
