Hi,
I am working on Cy7C68013A-56pin cypress USB controller. I am not using a development board, instead made a custom design for my own application. Later, I read somewhere that 56-pin doesn't support debugging. Is that right. ? Is there any way that I can do any USB based debugging on Cy7C68013A-56pin cypress USB controller. ? Or, should I use a 100-pin Cy7C68013A cypress USB controller for debugging purpose ?
I am using uvision keil IDE.

Yes. 56-pin package does not support the UART debugging. Those pins are available from 100-pin package.
You can do one thing. You can use FX2LP DVK for your firmware development as it has all debugging facilities. Once your firmware is ready then you can use the same code on your custom board.

I have a USB device interface on my board. Is there any kind of USB debugging methods available ?
If I use a 100 pin package, will it support break point debugging and printf debugging ?
Other than these, are there any extended debugging faclilities available on FX2LP DVK.
Thank You

Even with the current 56-pin chip you can do break point debugging using Keil.
Yes. 100-pin package provide both options available in debugging. FX2LP DVK offers these two options (UART and break point).
