Maximum number of nodes when using Mesh Networking

I see that the hello_client.c application in SDK 2.1.1 "allows another master to connect, so the device will behave as a slave in one Bluetooth piconet and a master in another."  I presume that this is the "Mesh Networking" that is supported on the BCM20737S.  If using this mesh networking configuration, is there a limit to the number of supported nodes in the network?  Or could the size of the network scale indefinitely by adding new piconets?

Hello Jeff,

Hello_client.c in SDK 2.1.1 can support a total of 8 slaves.

Mesh Networking is NOT currently supported on the BCM20737S so that "piconets" as you indicated can not be added.

Mesh Networking will be added in a upcoming SDK, but we cannot give an estimated release at this time.

Thanks

JT

The feature you have described is "Simultaneous Master Slave", which is just a small subset of true Mesh capabilities.
