Question: I am sharing Port B and Port D with another device. Can these ports be forced to high-impedance state? If so what is the procedure to accomplish this?
Answer:
When the Power On Reset (POR) is asserted, the port pins are configured as inputs high impedance state and therefore can be driven by another device. To reconfigure the port pins, use the registers PORTACFG - PORTCCFG (See Technical Reference Manual) and the output enable registers: OEA-OEE (see Technical Reference Manual). The Technical Reference Manual can be found in the link http://www.cypress.com/?rID=38232
