Question: The installer hangs for PSoC Designer 5.1 Service Pack 2. How can I complete the installation?
Answer:
Due to a known bug in Windows Vista and Windows XP (see Microsoft Support Article 981669), the Installer for PSoC Designer 5.1 SP2 may hang during installation. This has also been seen to affect Windows 7 users. Only a small number of customers will experience problems due to this bug, but Cypress has produced a workaround.
If you are having installation problems, please contact Customer Support immediately, and we will provide this workaround to you. If you are one of the few individuals affected, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
