SCB Block in Deep-Sleep Mode in PSoC® 4 - KBA87494

Version: *A

Does an SCB block work in Deep-Sleep mode in PSoC 4?

It depends on the individual case. In Deep-Sleep mode, HFCLK is disabled, which means that the SCB can no longer get an internal clock. In this scenario, however, if an SCB works as an I2C or SPI transceiver, the SCB can still work with an external clock. For UART, an internal clock is always essential. Therefore, if an SCB works as an UART transceiver, it will not work in Deep-Sleep mode when there is no HFCLK.
