Translation - Japanese: Flash Memoryのパッケージ材料セットの “F” と “H” の違いについて - KBA225264 - Community Translated (JA)

IEC 61249-2-21 defines the current standard of “Halogen-Free” as follows:

                     < 900 ppm of Bromine

                     < 900 ppm of Chlorine

< 1500 ppm of both combined

Therefore, both the ‘F’ and the ‘H’ package material set designations in Cypress flash memory products are identical and meet the current "Halogen-Free"

standard definition.

As an example, consider footnote #1 within the S25FL064L datasheet (http://www.cypress.com/file/316661/download😞

  1. 'Halogen-Free' definition is in accordance with IEC 61249-2-21 specification.

To reduce complexity, Cypress has currently decided not to change the material set designation from ‘F’ to all ‘H’, as many device Ordering Part Numbers (OPNs) will be affected by this change.
