Question:
Why does PSoC Creator represent Pin 1 and Pin 10 as no connections (n/c) on the 44-TQFP package for PSoC 4100S and PSoC 4100S Plus families when the datasheet shows different connections?
Answer:
This is a known defect in PSoC Creator 4.2. Pin 1 and Pin 10 on the 44-TQFP package for PSoC 4100S and PSoC 4100S Plus families are incorrectly represented as no connections (n/c) in the pin editor. This defect exists in PSoC Creator 4.2 and all previous versions. The datasheet specifies the correct connections for these pins. Following are the correct connections:
PSoC 4100S (44-TQFP package):
Pin 1 - VSSD
Pin 10 - VSSD
PSoC 4100S Plus (44-TQFP package):
Pin 1 - VSSD
Pin 10 - P[6]0
Impact: The misrepresentation of the VSSD connections does not have a functional impact on the design. Pin 10 misrepresented on PSoC 4100S Plus will have a functional impact. With this defect, you will not be able to assign and configure P6[0] through the pin editor. This will the addressed in the next release of PSoC Creator.
