Question:

Why are some source files from the PSoC® Creator™ project missing in the Eclipse workspace when a project is exported from PSoC Creator to Eclipse?

Answer:

There is a defect in PSoC Creator 4.2 that causes the export process to generate incorrect export files if there are usercreated folders that contain source files or build-related files such as linker scripts under the PSoC Creator project (.cydsn) directory. As a result of this defect, the project created in Eclipse does not contain all the source files from the PSoC Creator project directory.

For example, in Figure 1, notice that the PSoC Creator project contains a user-created folder “LinkerScripts” that contains some linker script files. Notice that due to the the defect explained earlier, source files marked by the green box are missing in the Eclipse workspace. This defect affects export of PSoC 4/5LP projects to any version of Eclipse.

As a workaround, keep all source- or build-related files directly under the PSoC Creator project (.cydsn) directory for the project to export and build in Eclipse without any issues.
