Question: Unable to program PSoC with MiniProg when MAX232 is connected on SDATA line
Answer:
The MAX232 chip has internal 5K pull-up resistors. If the SDATA pin is loaded by this 5K resistor, the MiniProg may not be able to program the PSoC. If a 5K pull-down resistor is used, the MiniProg is able to program the PSoC. One solution to this loading problem is to insert a jumper in the SDATA line that temporarily disconnects the 5K load.
