what is QDR?

Version 1
    Question: What is a QDR?

Response: QDR is the acronym for Quad Data Rate and refers to a unique architecture that allows  4 or 2 pieces of data to pass through the SRAM. One unique point of this architecture is separate uni-directional read and write ports to access the memory array as compared to a conventional SRAM with one bi-directional read/write port. Also, each of the QDR ports is equipped with a double data rate architecture, i.e 2 pieces of data in a single clock cycle on each of the ports making it 4; hence the name Quad data rate.
