Question: I am using the MiniProg to program a CY8C29466. Programming completes successfully and the chip is functional as intended, however when I try to run a checksum verification I receive an error.
Answer:
This problem only exists with the 29xxx family and is caused by the combination of using the MiniProg and modified flash security. The 29xxx family has a slightly different programming algorithm than other families. These differences aren't implemented in MiniProg's firmware therefore it is not always capable of verifying the checksum of a chip with modified flash security. This issue is going to be addressed in future revisions. As mentioned above, the chip is programmed and functions properly
