Question: Are there any considerations to be mindful of when driving the 3-level inputs with a tri-state buffer?
Answer:
Yes. It is important that the I OZ specification of the tri-state buffer be less than the I IMM of RoboClockII. If the I OZ specification violates the VIMM specification of RoboClockII, it is necessary to include 1KOHM pull-up and pull-down resistors on the 3-level inputs when driving the part with a tri-state buffer.
