EEPROM missing

Question: The customer is having problems running a new development board.  They enable the EEPROM and the device manager always shows the EEPROM is missing.

Answer:

The device manager reporting that the EEPROM is missing means that the contents of the EEPROM were not interpreted as a boot load code. The codes which have meaning are 0xB0 and 0xB2 for the AN2131 series part.

-The 0xB4 and the 0xB6 codes for the FX (CY7C64613) series part.

-The 0xC0 and the 0xC2 codes for the FX2 (CY7C68013 series part.

Any other codes within the EEPROM will be reported as no EEPROM connected.
