Question: WindowsXP says that the drivers from In-System Design are not signed and could make the system unstable. Is this true?
Answer:
The drivers from In-System design are specifically designed to work with WindowsXP, but it was decided not to certify them with Microsoft. The cost of recertification of the driver for each new VID/PID addition would be prohibitive. The ISD drivers have been extensively tested with all current Windows oprerating systems and have not exhibited any problems to date. Customers wishing to certify a custom version of the ISD drivers can contact a Cypress marketing representative for information.
