Reason For Lesser Output Frequency Range For Programmable Clocks With Industrial Temperature

Question: Why is the output frequency range for an Industrial part lesser than the one for a Commercial range device in case programmable clock generators?

Answer:

With broader temperature range the output frequency range always decreases. This is due to the fact that at higher temperature the VCO frequency might not lock correctly which results in the tighter frequency range that is guaranteed. This is observed with lower voltages as well.
