Question: I understand that ezusb.sys for EZ-USB(AN21xx/FX/FX1/FX2/FX2LP) devices does not have to re-compiled to run under Win2000. How about for Windows XP? Also, do you have any .inf file examples for XP?
Answer:
No, recompilation is not required. The same .inf and .sys files work under Windows 2000 as well as XP (ezusbw2k.inf and ezusb.sys). The source code and the necessary .inf and .sys files can be obtained by installing EZ-USB_devtools package of CY3681 FX2(TM) DVK. This driver has not been tested in Windows Vista or later.
We do not recommend ezusb.sys for new designs. Please use our latest driver CyUSB.sys available through Suiteusb. CyUSB.sys is more advanced in terms of features it supports and you can find these details in the webpage of suiteusb.
