Question: I'm trying to upgrade my PSoC Programmer but the installer keeps trying to remove the older version, even though it's been removed already. What can I do?
Answer:
In order to completely remove PSoC Programmer please follow the steps below:
1. If you haven't already, run the new installer. If it detects an old version of PSoC Programmer it will attempt to remove it.
2. Remove the folder in which PSoC Programmer was installed. If you used the default installationg settings this folder will be C:\Program Files\Cypress\Programmer.
3. Remove PSoC Programmer's Windows registry entry. To do this go to Start >> Run and type "regedit" in the Open field. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SOFTWARE >> Cypress>>PSoC Programmer and delete the entire PSoC Programmer entry.
4. Reboot your PC.
