Question: How to set resolution for a CapSense slider?
Response: Resolution of the CapSense slider has to be set based on SNR of the sensors. When a sensor of slider is touched, it produces a signal of amplitude 'S'. The actual signal contains some noise component. If the peak to peak amplitude of noise component is 'N', then, SNR = S/N.
After calculating the SNR, the attached excel sheet can be used to find out the maximum resolution that can be set for the slider, based on the SNR and number of slider segments.
