Question: I’m using an EEPROM in my board to store the configuration data of AT2LP. I understand that EEPROM corruption can cause issues in the proper operation of AT2LP. How do I avoid this?
Answer:
EZ-USB AT2LP(TM) Hardware Design Review Guide - AN14705 gives a clean and easy way of avoiding this problem by connecting the WP (Write Protect) pin of the EEPROM to ATA_RESET# pin of AT2LP. The AT2LP DVK schematic implements this and can be used as reference while designing your board.
