Question: What is the input frequency range for the CY2302 zero delay buffer?
Answer:
The allowed input frequency range for the CY2302 is determined by the output multiplication settings selected and the permitted output freuquency range. The outputs must operate within the range of 10 MHz to 133 MHz regardless of the frequency select settings and input frequency. So as a result, the absolute minimum input frequency allowed is 1.25 MHz for the setting FS0/FS1 = '11' and OUT2 as the feedback. The absolute maximum input frequency allowed is 133 MHz for the setting FS0/FS1 = '01' and OUT1 as the feedback. In summary, for each FS0/FS1 setting and feedback, the input frequency range is detemined by ensuring that the output frequency range specification of 10 MHz to 133 MHz is not violated.
