Question: Can the AT2 be set to polling mode, rather than relying on the ATA IRQ signal?

Answer:

The AT2 is configured by modifying the first 16 bytes in the EEPROM (0x00-0x0F). The configuration bits/bytes are defined in the EZ-USB AT2 data sheet. Unlike previous bridge chips such as the ISD-300A1, the AT2 uses INTRQ instead of polling to improve compatability with a larger number of peripherals. The ability to use polling is not an option in the AT2.
