Question: How is it possible to update the firmware in the EEPROM interfaced to an FX2LP once the device is bound to a custom driver?
Answer:
This can be done in two ways:
1.Remove the EEPROM enable jumper on the board. Plug in the USB cable, and the board will be recognized as "...EEPROM missing" in the EZ-USB development tools. Replace the EEPROM Enable jumper to the enable position and reprogram the EEPROM.
2.Modify CyUSB.inf to include the new VID/PID of the device and update the device driver from device manager.. Now you can reprogram the EEPROM from the EZ-USB development tools.
