How do I select the correct size VCC capacitor for the CY8CLEDAC01?
The basic formula for determining the CY8CLEDAC01 VCC capacitor is CVCC = (It/V).
Convert to CY8CLEDAC01 parameters: CVCC = (ICC(VCChld))/(VCCst-VCCUVL).
ICC = 20 mA: Maximum from AC01 data sheet .
VCChld = 1 ms: Maximum time for AC01 to determine if safe to operate.
VCCST = 10.8V: Minimum from AC01 data sheet.
VCCUVL = 6.6V: Maximum from AC01 data sheet.
CVCC = (ICC(VCChld))/(VCCst-VCCUVL) = (20mA(1ms))/(10.8V-6.6V) = 20u/4.2 = 4.76uF.
The CY8CLEDAC01 design uses 4.7 µF for CVCC.
