Question: Can we program the EEPROM with the Blaster tool in the TetraHub CY7C65640A ?
Answer: Cypress TetraHub™ CY7C65640A is a high performance Multiple Transaction Translator (TT) USB2.0 hub controller and it does not support the vendor commands required for EEPROM read and EEPROM write.
So, we can't program the EEPROM connected with CY7C65640A by using Blaster tool.
If the customer wants to program the EEPROM, then either he has to remove the EEPROM from the board and program the EEPROM or he needs to design the board in such a way the EEPROM bus is multiplexed and program it externally whenever required.
PS: TetraHub™ reference design kit CY4602 can't program the EEPROM by using Blaster tool as well.
