Question: I understood from the technical reference manual that the descriptors should be WORD-ALIGNED. Is there an A51 assembler directive that can be used to automatically word-align labeled sections of assembly inside of a segment?
Answer:
The below A51 assembler directive can be used to WORD-ALIGN the descriptors:
org (($ / 2) +1) * 2
The usage of this directive can be found in the attached dscr.a51 where the descriptor is initially not WORD-ALIGNED.
