VS SOFTWARE RESET or MSC SOFTWARE RESET in ISD-300A1

Question: Are both Vendor Specific (VS) SOFTWARE RESET or Mass Storage Class (MSC) SOFTWARE RESET used in the development of a project according to the ISD-300A1 datasheet?

Answer:

The bit 1 in Register 0x05 determines whether the chip responds to a USB Mass Storage Class (MSC) soft-reset command or a Vendor Specific (VS) soft-reset command. The USB MSC soft-reset command was from a preliminary definition which was never implemented by the USB-IF, so the VS soft-reset command should be the only one used.

Please note that the  ISD-300A1 is obsolete and the functional replacement is AT2LP.  All the related collaterals of AT2LP can be found in the link here
