Question: What is the longest distance that the Cypress PLC High Voltage Solution can communicate over?
Answer: We have tested the solution to communicate over a distance of 11500 feet which is approximately 3.5 km. This was a clean line with no other equipment sharing the line. For robust long range communication, it is recommended to use the Cypress PLC repeater functionality, which is described in AN62487 “Cypress Powerline Communication (PLC) Repeater Implementation”.
