Question:

How do I select TTL Standby mode or CMOS Standby mode for Cypress NAND FLASH memory products?

Answer:

The NAND FLASH S34ML08G2 does not have any configurable Standby mode setting. In Standby mode, the device is deselected, (CE# = VIH or CE# = VCC-0.2V) outputs are disabled, and power consumption is reduced. However, it is important to point out that whether CE# =VIH (TTL) or CE# = VCC-0.2V (CMOS) is selected; it is entirely dependent on the circuit environment surrounding the S34ML08G2 NAND device. In other words, if the intrinsic circuit environment surrounding the S34ML08G2 NAND device, is TTL technology logic (CE# = VIH), then the standby current will be TTL. If the intrinsic circuit environment surrounding the S34ML08G2 NAND device, is CMOS technology logic (CE# = VCC - 0.2V), then the standby current will be CMOS, 50uA(max).
