Question:

I am using an MCU board to debug the FLASH chip erase command program, but communication stopped. How can this be fixed?

Answer:

There is no method for restoring communication. The program area for debugging exists in the MB95FV100 FLASH memory (dual-operation FLASH), which is included with the MCU board. If the chip erase command is executed for the FLASH memory, erase is executed also for that area. Do not execute the FLASH chip erase command using the MCU board. Conduct evaluation using an actual mass production FLASH product when debugging for FLASH chip erase. In addition, in order for FLASH memory to accept the chip erase command, set the SWRE1 register reserved bit to "1."
