For most Cypress Known Good Die (KGD) FLASH memory products, exposure to any ultraviolet (UV) light source does have the potential of corrupting or erasing data in the memory array. An ultraviolet (UV) light source with a wavelength of 2,537 Angstroms, with an intensity of 12,000uW/CM-squared for 15-20mins will successfully erase the KGD FLASH memory contents. It is important to note, data contents within the Known Good Die (KGD) FLASH memory that is exposed to any ultraviolet light source may possibly be erased or corrupted with wavelengths of less than 4,000Angstroms. Therefore, as a special handling precaution for all known good die (KGD) FLASH memory products, it is important to protect exposed KGD's from any ultraviolet (UV-A or UV-B) light source.
