Question: Do synchronous dual-ports have internal power on reset circuitry?
Answer:
All synchronous dual-ports have internal Power-On-Reset circuitry. It uses an internal state machine to clear the memory contents and reset the internal counters. When the Vcc ramp is too fast or too slow, the state machine could capture the state at a value other than GND and thus put the part in an unknown state. We recommend keeping a discharge resistor on the board if the board power cycles often.
